Terms of Use
LimaRead is a reading and listening app for children and families. These terms are the short, plain rules for using it. By installing or using the app you agree to them; if you do not, please do not use it.
Who we are
The app and the website are published by SIA KV Cache (TensorSplit, registration no. 40203786599, Pērnavas iela 39-40, LV-1009), Riga, Latvia. Questions about these terms and about your subscription: [email protected].
Children and adults
Children use LimaRead under the supervision of a parent or another adult. Accounts and purchases are for adults to make; if you set up an account or buy Premium, you confirm that you are an adult and that you are responsible for how the app is used on your devices.
Free and Premium
The app offers books in six interface languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Russian. The first books of each collection are free. Premium unlocks the rest of the library and offline listening.
Subscriptions
- Premium is a subscription, monthly or yearly. It renews automatically until you cancel.
- It is bought and billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, under that store’s own terms. We do not see or handle your payment details.
- The store shows the price and the period before you confirm.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of Google Play or the App Store. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds are handled by the store under its refund policy; we cannot refund a purchase made through a store. Your statutory rights as a consumer in the European Union are not affected by anything in these terms.
Your account
An account is optional. You can sign in with Google or Apple to keep your purchases across devices. You can delete the account at any time at limaread.com/delete-account.html. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription bought in a store; cancel it there, or it keeps renewing.
The books and other content
The stories are public-domain texts and original stories. The illustrations are generated with AI, and the audio is synthesized speech. You may use the content for personal, non-commercial family use. You may not copy, sell, publish or redistribute it, or the app’s packages.
Acceptable use
Please do not misuse the app or our servers: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer them, to get around the subscription, or to share your account to give others access. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
Availability
We run LimaRead on a best-effort basis. The app or the servers may sometimes be unavailable, and the catalogue changes: books can be added, updated or removed, and the split between free and Premium books may change.
Intellectual property
The LimaRead name, the app, its design and its original material belong to SIA KV Cache or its licensors, and the texts in the public domain remain free for everyone. These terms give you the right to use the app, not to own any part of it.
Limitation of liability
LimaRead is provided as it is. Within the limits of Latvian and European Union law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by the app being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or injury to a person, or your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Latvia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it and the new text is published here. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply to you.
